XVRA—09.0 / WHY THIS EXISTS THE RED FLAGS

The scams all look the same. So does the protection.

Nearly every supplier fraud we have investigated shares the same anatomy: a convincing storefront, a price slightly too good, pressure to pay quickly into a personal or mismatched account, and silence after the deposit clears. The defence is not cleverness — it is procedure, applied every single time.

These are the red flags our verification screens for:

  • Company name on the invoice does not match the registered entity or bank account.
  • "Manufacturer" is actually a trading company with no factory behind it.
  • Certifications that are expired, borrowed from another firm, or photoshopped.
  • No verifiable export history to Africa — or at all.
  • Prices meaningfully below every credible competitor.
  • Refusal to accept inspections or third-party audits.

    Registration Checks

Business registration, legal status, registered capital, ownership and operating history confirmed against official government records — not the supplier's own website.

    Factory Verification

We confirm the supplier is a real manufacturer — not a middleman — with premises, production lines and workforce matching their claims, and the capacity to produce your order on your timeline.

    Licence Verification

Export licences, product certifications (CE, ISO, FDA, SONCAP-relevant) and industry-specific approvals validated with the issuing bodies where possible — because certificates are the most-forged documents in the trade.

XVRA—09.2 / VERIFICATION LEVELS 3 TIERS
TIER 1

Desk Verification

Checks V-01, V-03 and V-04 run remotely against registries, issuers and databases. Fast screening for shortlists and marketplace sellers — typically 2–3 working days.

TIER 2

Standard Verification

All five checks including factory confirmation through our on-ground network. The default for any supplier you intend to pay — typically 3–5 working days.

TIER 3

Full Factory Audit

Standard verification plus a physical on-site audit: production capacity, machinery, quality systems, working conditions and management interview, with photo and video evidence — typically 5–10 working days.

MARGIN NOTE / ALREADY HAVE A SUPPLIER? Verification is available as a standalone service. If you found a supplier yourself — on Alibaba, at a trade fair, through a referral — we will verify them before you pay, even if you never use another Xelvora service. Many client relationships started exactly this way.

Have a supplier you want checked?

Send us their details before you send them money. A verification report costs a fraction of a lost deposit.
